Dr. Ronya Foy Connor is a global leader in Business, Tourism, Hospitality, and Government Affairs with professional experience across the U.S., Caribbean, East Africa, Europe, and Japan. Her career spans roles as an International Travel Consultant, Flight Attendant, COO, and U.S. Foreign Affairs Officer. She has traveled to over 40 countries, blending her professional expertise with a passion for holistic wellness and global affairs.
As lead strategist for five international luxury property rentals, Dr. Foy Connor advises on interior design, hospitality services, and guest communications. She was also Anguilla’s first Director of Gender Affairs, where she championed the adoption of the UN Convention to Eliminate Discrimination Against Women, passed the country’s first Domestic Violence law, and launched a national reporting hotline.
Her diplomatic work includes press, public diplomacy, and grant strategy focused on Europe and Eurasia, democracy, human rights and labor, consular work on intercountry adoptions, as well as service alongside U.S. Ambassadors at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. She is a published author, inspirational speaker, and wellness advocate.
Dr. Foy Connor has been recognized with several prestigious honors and fellowships including the 2024 Women’s Excellence in Leadership Award (Government of Anguilla), the 2024 Woman of Substance Award (Cornell University), the 2023 Sol Linowitz Award (U.S. Department of Defense), the 2023 Franklin Award (U.S. Department of State) and titles of a Boren National Security Fellow, Sasakawa International Affairs Fellow and Bouchet Fellow (Howard University).
She holds a B.S. in Organizational Behavior and an M.P.A. from Cornell University, a M.S.W. in Macro Policy and a Ph.D. in International Social Work from Howard University. Her certifications include International Policy & Affairs, Hospitality Management, and Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching (Harvard Medical School). Dr. Foy Connor’s certification focus areas include ecotourism, customer engagement, marketing, pricing strategy, high-performance teams, revenue management, social entrepreneurship and the six pillars of lifestyle medicine.
